Imaginary Clients for 31 Days of Tarot Challenge

For Ethony’s 31 Days of Tarot Challenge today’s video topic was about which 5 real or imaginary people and or characters I would want to give a reading to.

My characters are:

  1. Alucard from the Castlevania series
  2. Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7
  3. Amelia Earhart
  4. The main character in Persona Revelations as I would be a regular NPC in the Velvet Room
  5. Extra Terrestrials

Who would you like to give Tarot or Oracle card readings to?

Tarot and Oracle Card Decks that Luna uses

For the 31 days of Tarot topic of the day I filmed a little video talking about the various Tarot and Oracle Card Decks I use for personal use. And it’s quite a lot, I’m actually surprised at the amount.

Note: No cards are shown, it’s just me chatting away because I mention several decks that I did not get permission to post public images of.

Benebell Wen also has PDF print outs that you can refer to when you have a question about usage of elements within the public domain. I can’t find her specific page right now but you can go look for it if you want to.

Btw I plan on illustrating my own deck one day … one day

January 13, 2017 Be open to Messages from the Universe

The card of the day is Message:
Spirit and the Universe communicates with us in many ways and it is up to us to be receptive to it. So be away of anything that stands out to you today. Whether it be physical signs around you or in your feelings, emotional changes, thoughts, and perception of your external or internal reality.
Spirit and The Universe are always willing to speak to us if we are willing and able to listen.

Card is from the Sacred Symbols Oracle Deck by Marcella Kroll

Tarot & Oracle Cards: Similarities & Differences

Tarot & Oracle Cards : Similarities & Differences

Tarot and Oracle cards are both used for divination purposes. Tarot cards follow a standardized format of 78 cards including the 22 Major Arcana illustrating the Fool’s Journey and the 56 Minor Arcana showing aspects of life. There are four suits: Swords/Air/Mind, Pentacles/Coins/Earth/Security (usually of the physical realm), Wands/staves/Fire/Drive, and Cups/Water/Emotions.

Oracle Cards are any cards created for divination purposes that do not follow a standardized format such at Tarot, Lenormand, or Poker. Poker cards can be used for divination, but you don’t have to. These are CARDS, you can just treat them as pretty Cards if you want.

The two most commonly used formats for Tarot are the Rider-Waite or Crowley-Thoth. Beginners are often encouraged to start with one of those decks because of the vast amount of learning material available for those. Rider-Waite is the most popular. Even though I do not own either or those decks, some of the decks that I use do follow the “themes” behind either the Rider-Waite or Crowley-Thoth format.

Creating Your Own Deck

Most artists will pick a format and create accordingly. Tarot is a profound collective of symbolism and psychoanalytical processes that is wonderful to both study and work with. What is becoming more popular now, is the creation of Oracle decks. With Oracle decks, the Artist or Designer does not have to create all 78 cards; they can create as Many or as Few as they want! I kept talking about Marcella Kroll’s deck because I love the strong symbolism and also how she incorporates Runes with Alchemical Elements, Native American Symbols, Egyptian Symbols, and original symbols based off of topics that have deep meaning to her. In general, have fun browsing the many different Tarot, Oracle, Lenormand, and Poker decks that are out there! And enjoy creating your own when you are inspired to!
